Here's the trailer to my latest shortfilm.
Its called : Boy Breadwinner. BOY BREADWINNER. Remember there is a 'BOY' in the title, cos for some strange reason a lot of people have removed that from the title.
The boy breadwinner is a short film about a young boy who defies all odds in his pursuit to realise his dreams.

MY MINI WEB SERIES!

Posted a while back that i was making a short film. Well, I've decided to make it into a web series and so far it has bin the right decision. The first episode premiered on the 17th of June! the reception has been very awesome. Although i still intend to make it into a straight short film ones the series ends.

My Upcoming Short Film!

Here are two screenshots from my upcoming short film. I'm loving the look already! What y'all think? Still have quiet i whole lot to do! A few more pick up shots, more editing, sound design, colour grading, ADR, VFX, opening title sequence, phewww. Honestly can't say when this peice will be done!

A huge thank you to all my cast and crew members, we shot two nights with one of those nights being through the night. You guys Rock!!!

MTN Ultimate Wonder Advert

I just finished co-directing and editing a series of MTN Adverts. Here's one of them. Features Yaw and Nedu both of Wazobia FM. Guess winning a brand new Aeroplane is simply unbelievable. If its for real or not, pls don't ask me. All i'm contracted to do is the advert that you can watch below:

Technicals: Shot on a Canon 7D

Editing: Adobe Premiere.

3D elements: Cinema 4D.

Vfx, compositing and colour correction: After Effects.

THE HEADIES TEASER

The Headies fever is upon us again! And just like last year, your boy will be handling all the motion visuals (promos, nomination montages etc) for this prestigious award that will be going down on October 20, 2012. Checkout some screen shots from a teaser i just wrapped up.

Software: Maya (modelling), Cinema 4D (Texturing, Lighting and animation), After effects (compositing and colour correction)

Time taken....roughly 30hrs!

Ident Works for HipTv

HipTv is undergoing some station revamp so i've being doing some station idents for them. The brief was simple!

"Gbenga Salu, create some fresh, unique and smart idents with our station logo."

And i think i delivered that.*big grin* Unfortunately, i can't post videos of the works yet, 'cos the client is gonna be launching the animations on their station next month. But once its launched, trust that i will make u guys have a look.

My Song of the Day

Heard this song this morning and i have been stuck ever since! Sewa delivers some awesome range of vocals on this track she calls "Mulele". Whatever she means by that anyway.lol...

The song is only one day old on my computer and check out the play count already (covering eyes)

Different, very very African! A very rich African video is only befitting of a song like this. Never met this lady before, but if you read this and you know her. pls tell her she's got a fan!

Here are four screen shots from a video i recently finished. Lancky C is this 6ft plus guy (he's very tall) with some very lovely songs that i personally love. His first single is called 'Beautiful" and i think the song is a beautiful one as well.

The idea for the video is to give the song strong appealing visuals that will compliment the emotions of the song. It follows a bitter-sweet relationship Lancky C has going on. Shot on a chroma (green screen) stage on location in Lagos in about 5hrs.
Technicals: Shot on the Canon 7D camera. Softwares: Adobe suite and Cinema 4D.
I'll be uploading the video in a very short time. Watch out for that! Cheers!

MTN Pulse Montage

I was recently commissioned to do a montage for an MTN sponsored TV show on HipTv.

I tired to make it has funky/hip as much as i can. Which i think i achieved.

The DJ setup sequence was the toughest to put together.

Softwares: After effects (compositing), Autodesk Maya (modelling), Cinema 4D (Animating/Lighting)
